A presentation by Dr. Judy Tanenbaum with a focus on love and marriage, followed by a Q&A.
Topics will include generosity of spirit, empathy, mindfulness of the impact one has on others, when to discuss a difficult topic, the three C’s necessary for relationships but especially love relationships – care, communication, and compromise, physical and emotional intimacy and truthfulness.
Judith H Tanenbaum is in private practice for over 28 years. She has been honored by the bequest of the Betts-Tanenbaum Chair in Clinical Psychiatry, which will fund in perpetuity, post-residency Psychiatrists to further their study in any clinical psychiatric area they chose. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine, a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian, and a member of The Dean’s Circle. Dr. Tanenbaum is currently on the Board of Visitors at Columbia University, School of General Studies. She completed the Columbia University Postbac Premed Program (PBPM) in 1983, and earned her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College in 1988. Dr. Tanenbaum completed her Psychiatry Residency in 1992. She won a NIMH award for research as a resident. In 2011, she was the keynote speaker at the PBPM. Currently Dr. Tanenbaum is also the co-founder of “Tell Me About Your Mother”, a new podcast, in production soon.
