Katonah Classic Stage Film Festival

Opens on August 10

Run Time: 120 min. Release Year: 2024

The 5th Annual KCSFF takes place on Saturday, August 10th in our Main Theater, presenting an evening showcase of short films from all over the world.  Entries include an Academy-Award nominee and a local cinematographer.

PennyPenny’s story is filled with love and laughter but it is missing one thing. We don’t often look at the women that are “childless NOT by choice”. What does it do to a nurturing soul to be without the thing she always wanted, always assumed would be, where does she fit, will she survive the grief.

Missing Her – When a middle-aged man, coping in a dystopian world, is forced to spread his dead wife’s ashes by a government mandated deadline, a stranger’s kindness is the only lifeline to help him through the sacred ritual before time runs out.

My Name is Oscar – A disgruntled actor whose last role was in a modern spaghetti Western gives an Oscar speech in his bathroom lambasting his agent, producer, co-star and everyone else on his long list of culprits, then gives a much different speech at the Oscar ceremony itself.

The CreatureA couple goes to the forest to sacrifice an animal to the goblins in order for their child to be born healthy, but they are not alone in this forest. The woman considers this a superstition until she believes it herself.

I’ve Been Traveling

Full Throttle ParadiseA dark farce that explores feminism, materialism, and fetishes. Pat Padula, a seemingly connected man in the neighborhood, expresses his love for the free-spirited Dottie in an atypical family therapy session. But why in a motorcycle garage? Dottie is a bluntly aggressive woman who takes Pat’s need for her as a threat to her independence. Meanwhile, the attractive young female counselor is having her own problems navigating in a man’s world, which sets her on a collision course with Dottie.

All The World’s A Stage

Mr. Joseph –  Mr. Joseph is a barber and my grandpa. We follow him as he recounts his journey from Italy, the opening of his shop, and the hard work in his garden.

Happy to Help YouDepressed and newly unemployed, Nora (Amy Sedaris) seeks help from Arthur (Jeremy Beiler) at the crisis call center Oasis. He is both much less help, and much more, than she expected.

As Easy As Closing Your Eyes – Academy Award-nominee Abigail Breslin presents the story of a grieving mother who battles her addiction to a black-market drug that gives her life-like dreams about the son she lost.

Presented in partnership with the Katonah Classic Stage.
