Oct. 15th, 2024 – Bedford Playhouse recently held a powerful event featuring a screening of Undivide Us, a documentary that examines America’s deepening political and social divisions. The film highlighted how politicians, news media, and social media have fueled toxic polarization, leaving many Americans questioning whether they can trust their fellow citizens. Undivide Us aimed to be part of the solution by fostering understanding and bridging divides in a polarized nation.
Following the screening, a panel discussion was moderated by Naomi Schaefer Riley, senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and the Independent Women’s Forum. Riley, an expert on issues such as child welfare, parenting, and culture, guided the conversation on the impact of polarization and the steps needed to move toward healing and unity.
Riley’s work has been widely published in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The LA Times, and The Washington Post, among others. Her insights and experience added depth to the discussion, offering attendees a thoughtful perspective on how society can begin to rebuild trust and foster positive change.
