First Fridays: Cross Purpose

Cross Purpose is a four-piece rock and blues band formed in 2005, blending original music with styles ranging from straight-ahead rock and high-energy ballads to classic 12-bar blues. Known for strong vocals, standout lead guitar, and a solid rhythmic foundation, the band has released multiple albums of original material—including their latest, More To Do (2023). Featuring Bob Stanhope (vocals/rhythm guitar), Roy Ellingsen (vocals/lead guitar), Doug Bolin (vocals/bass), and Jeremy Brown (drums).
Christine Chanel

Christine Chanel is a Westchester-based indie-soul artist known for her powerful yet intimate vocals and emotionally rich songwriting. Blending soul and indie influences, her music is rooted in authenticity—creating performances that feel personal, resonant, and memorable. A longtime presence in the New York tri-state music scene, Christine has performed at the Pleasantville Music Festival, Sleepy Hollow Music Festival, and venues including The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Tarrytown Music Hall, and more.
David Wolff

Fingerpicking guitarist David Wolff, found his passion for music after hearing Hot Tuna, eventually teaching alongside Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jorma Kaukonen at Fur Peace Ranch. Wolff has played with legends like Oteil Burbridge (The Allman Brothers, Dead & Co.) and David Bromberg. Don't miss this intimate performance! Show begins at 6:30pm. Louis Cato

Louis Cato’s journey to becoming bandleader of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert began at age two on the drums, evolving through gospel roots in North Carolina to Berklee College of Music and, ultimately, New York City. Now a Grammy-nominated, internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, and songwriter, Cato has collaborated with artists like Bobby McFerrin, James Taylor, Q-Tip, Jon Batiste, and St. Vincent. After years supporting other artists, he stepped into the spotlight with his solo work, including Starting Now (2017), Reflections (2023), and Cato Covers, Vol. 1 (2024), followed by new singles in 2025. Alongside his nightly role on The Late Show, he continues to tour and perform nationwide. Don’t miss this intimate, one-night-only event with Louis Cato and his trio.

A versatile songwriter and guitarist known for blending blues, Americana, and roots rock into a style that’s entirely his own. His Duke Robillard–produced album The Levee was named one of the Top 100 Blues Albums of 2012 by The Roots Report, reaching #3 on their Blues chart and #1 overall. He’s continued to release original music, including his self-produced EP 2020 Blues and the Americana-inspired Death Weather. Show begins at 6:30pm. Free admission, no reservation required.

Over two decades, he’s performed with artists such as The Indigo Girls, Martin Sexton, Judy Collins, and Suzanne Vega, with his songs featured in The Path, The Lincoln Lawyer, Private Practice, Army Wives, and One Tree Hill. His ongoing Treehouse Project delivers a new song every two weeks, with fans voting on favorites for annual album releases—now approaching 100 original songs in its fourth year.

With four decades of experience in the Greater New York City region, Brown has earned a lasting reputation for his heartfelt storytelling and authentic performances, both as a solo artist and as the frontman of the long-running Bookends band. His rich, distinctive vocals and genuine stage presence allow every song—whether an original or a familiar favorite—to feel personal and memorable. Brown’s original music showcased on his 6 album releases (most recently "Hopes, Jokes & Lies” in 2025), reflect insight, humor, and the universal truths of the human journey.
