Dec. 16th, 2024 – Bedford Playhouse had the honor of welcoming Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody for a private A24 screening of his latest film, The Brutalist. In an intimate introduction to the screening, Brody shared his deeply personal connection to his immigrant character and offered insight into the creative process behind this poignant story.
The film follows a visionary architect who escapes postwar Europe and seeks to rebuild his life, career, and marriage in America. Set against the backdrop of Pennsylvania, the narrative explores resilience, ambition, and the pursuit of belonging in a foreign land.
On January 5th, Adrien was awarded the Golden Globe for his outstanding performance in The Brutalist—a well-deserved recognition for his powerful portrayal.
It was an unforgettable evening celebrating cinema, storytelling, and remarkable talent. The Playhouse will screen The Brutalist for two weeks, beginning on January 24, 2025.
