In the beginning, there was the word.  At the start of every film production is the screenplay.  Bedford Playhouse is thrilled to welcome Academy-Award nominated screenwriter of Inside Out 2 Meg LeFauve who will share her insights and inspiration for her screenplay and take your questions after the film in a Q&A.

Meg was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for co-writing the script for Pixar’s Inside Out (2015). She was nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards in 1999 for producing The Baby Dance and produced the 2002 film The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. She also wrote the script for another Pixar film The Good Dinosaur (2015) which was nominated for a Golden Globe. LeFauve also received a “story by” credit on the live action Captain Marvel movie.

Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust.
