Theatre Revolution 10th Anniversary Celebration
Run Time: 120 min.
Theatre Revolution invites you to celebrate 10 years of bringing theatre, film and connection to the Hudson Valley and beyond!
TR has been connecting Hudson Valley Artists to each other and presenting plays and films for 10 years and it’s time to celebrate!
Join us for an afternoon of some of Theatre Revolution’s favorite films, plays and musicians that they have presented over the years (a full list can be found on their website: www.theatrerevolution.org) . Then hang out for refreshments after the show.
Films (in alphabetical order)
Cahill’s Lanes – Set in a small-town bowling alley, the film follows a young woman’s attempt to connect with her estranged father as he resists accountability and emotion. It’s a story about generational wounds and the act of reaching out in spite of that.
Choices – A father must step out of his comfort zone when his teenaged daughter has a life-changing dilemma.
Come Over and Say Nothing – A mime and widow bond over silence.
Don’t Take This The Wrong Way – Beaten down by constant ableist microaggressions and a devastating breakup, Darcy begins to unravel.
Flash Warning – A young woman must learn to trust her gut after a weekend at her boyfriend’s family home takes a dark turn.
The Girl with the Rivet Gun – Behind the iconic “We Can Do It” poster girl, millions of real-life women shook the foundations of the American workplace – forever changing both their own lives and the very perception of what women can do.
Hell Week – It’s a week before the show opens, and tensions are running high at “Mame” rehearsal.
Papa George – A Grandfather discovers his hero is illiterate.
Together Forever At Last – A bride gets cold feet minutes before walking down the aisle.
Trouble – A high school teacher is confronted by what trouble means and who gets to define it.
Welcome to Theatre – Two slightly lovable, mediocre white theatre producers (think Archie Bunker and Meathead!), try to revive their festival and save the theatre from financial ruin in a post pandemic world.
When We Arrive As Flowers – Diovanna, a New York-based trans Afro-Latinx dancer realizes her transfemme identity through a choreographic journey of self-discovery, celebration, and the poetic metaphor of a flower coming into bloom.
