There’s a reason we keep returning to blue. It opens space – sky, water, distance – and invites a kind of calm that feels both expansive and grounding. In art and in film, blue shifts the mood instantly, softening the edges, slowing the moment, and drawing you in. It holds emotion without demanding attention – quiet, steady, and endlessly deep.
Fade To Blue lingers there. This collection pauses to appreciate blue in all its range and role – its stillness, its movement, its ability to carry a feeling without needing to resolve it. These pieces show an appreciation for the pause in film, the fade to blue that leaves you with a feeling long after your eyes have finished taking in the scene.
Tricia Caracappa is a local artist from Katonah, New York who creates abstract energetic landscapes – not just to imagine, but to feel. Following the energy of what lights you up is at the core of her work. Inspired by freedom, delight, and the beautiful energy of nature, Tricia’s work invites a shift in perspective toward joy, just like the personal shift she made when she left her corporate career at Morgan Stanley for a creative career. She holds a BS from Providence College, a degree in interior design from Parsons, and is a board member of the Katonah Museum of Artists’ Association.
Tricia’s work is in private collections nationwide and has been exhibited in galleries. Exhibitions include her solo shows, Sweet Surrender, and Possibilities, at the Gallery at Yellow Studio and the upcoming In Bloom juried exhibit at the Katonah Museum of Art this June.
