Poster for Wild Africa with Martin J. Rosen

Wild Africa with Martin J. Rosen

Coming on July 1

Run Time: 120 min.

This is the fifth solo photography exhibit presented by Mr. Rosen which portrays the indigenous beauty of the African continent, and more specifically Tanzania and Kenya. A Blue-Ribbon award winner of a National Geographic photography contest, he has exhibited his works in New York City, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and here in Westchester County.

Mr. Rosen’s passion for photography commenced by accident in 1990 when he explored a Nikon instruction manual while devouring a bottle of red wine during the early morning hours before the sun arose. His interest in the African continent emanated from his love of wildlife. A scheduled trip to Africa was cancelled several decades ago due to political unrest in Kenya. This exhibit is the end result of his desire to fulfill his dream to capture the natural beauty of Africa via digital photography.

A resident of Pound Ridge for 27 years, Mr. Rosen is an attorney with offices in White Plains, New York, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and former Chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Westchester Country Bar Association. He is an avid tennis player, a reader of historical fiction and non-fiction, a lover of travel which provides the subject matter of his work product, and a former member of the Pound Ridge Human Rights Advisory Committee. He lives here with his wife Lianne Sorkin, has two sons and six grandchildren.
