Nov. 7th, 2024 – Bedford Playhouse recently welcomed Hard Headed Comedy for a night of nonstop laughter, featuring an exclusive line-up of top comedians. The show included stellar performances by Oscar Collazos, Liz Glazer, Erin Maguire, and Luz Michelle, each bringing their unique comedic style to the stage and delivering a memorable evening of comedy.
Award-winning comedian Liz Glazer opened with her sharp humor and relatable stories. Known for her appearances on ABC’s FOR LIFE and CBS’s BULL, Liz has won first place at the Boston Comedy Festival and has been featured in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal. As she develops a television pilot based on her life, Liz continues to captivate audiences with her wit and insight.
Colombian-American comedian Oscar Collazos followed with his energetic style, drawing from his cultural background and life in New York City. Oscar, a University of Florida graduate and founder of Hilarious Colombian American, has performed at iconic venues like the Apollo Theater and major comedy festivals. His set added a fresh perspective that resonated with the audience.
NYC-based comedian Erin Maguire brought her dynamic humor to the Playhouse stage, combining sharp observations with memorable act-outs. Known from Gotham Comedy Live and featured at comedy festivals like the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, Erin’s act was a highlight of the evening, filled with humor as down-to-earth as it was hilarious.
Closing the show was Luz Michelle, founder of Hard Headed Comedy and known for her fearless comedic style. Luz has taken top spots at venues like Caroline’s and Gotham and recently won the Ladies of Laughter Westchester chapter. As a staple of Westchester’s comedy scene and writer of the advice column “Dear Luz,” her performance left the crowd laughing and eagerly awaiting her next appearance.
This Hard Headed Comedy showcase proved a standout event for the Bedford Playhouse, offering a fantastic night of entertainment and establishing a strong following for live comedy in the community.
