Jan. 23rd, 2026 – A recent benefit performance brought together an extraordinary group of renowned singers and songwriters for an inspiring evening of music in support of the next generation of creators. The event raised funds for the BMI Foundation, Songwriters of North America, Hear Your Song, and Inspired Nation: Youth Helping Youth Through Music—organizations dedicated to nurturing talent, advocacy, and access to music education.

Hosted by hit songwriter Sam Hollander (Panic! at the Disco’s “High Hopes,” Fitz and the Tantrums’ “HandClap”), the night featured memorable performances and stories from an impressive lineup of artists. The stage came alive with Chris Barron of Spin Doctors, Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra, Jeff Cohen (Josh Groban’s “In Her Eyes,” Evan and Jaron’s “Crazy for This Girl”), Lauren Christy (Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated,” Dua Lipa’s “Blow Your Mind”), and Kara DioGuardi (Pink’s “Sober,” Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man”), each sharing songs from their iconic careers and insights into the songwriting process.

Sponsored by Berklee NYC, BMI, BRE Hotels & Resorts, and the Irma and Arthur Miller Family Foundation, the evening celebrated the power of music not only as entertainment, but as a tool for connection, mentorship, and positive change. With an atmosphere filled with generosity and creativity, the benefit underscored how music can bring people together while directly supporting meaningful causes that uplift young voices and future songwriters.
