May 8, 2026 – Bedford Playhouse welcomed supporters, artists, community leaders, and special guests on Friday, May 8 for its highly anticipated Annual Spring Benefit—an unforgettable evening celebrating the power of film, live entertainment, and the vibrant community that continues to support the historic theater’s mission.
Guests gathered for a lively night filled with music, laughter, heartfelt tributes, and inspiring moments, all in support of the year-round programming and cultural experiences the Playhouse brings to Bedford and beyond. The event featured an electrifying concert performance by Felicia Collins, best known as guitarist and vocalist in the CBS Orchestra on The Late Show with David Letterman alongside Paul Shaffer’s World’s Most Dangerous Band. Attendees packed the theater, with many standing, dancing, and singing along throughout the high-energy performance that transformed the Playhouse into a true celebration.
The evening included a hilarious set from comedian Brian Scott McFadden, whose sharp humor and engaging storytelling had the audience laughing throughout the opening festivities and carried the joyful spirit of the night into the program.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Bedford Playhouse Arts Award to Chazz Palminteri and Gianna Palminteri in recognition of their extraordinary dedication to the arts in Bedford and beyond, as well as their meaningful contributions to cultural storytelling and artistic expression. Their remarks reflected a deep appreciation for the importance of community-centered arts organizations and the role they play in bringing people together.
The Playhouse also proudly presented the Kim Award—honoring exceptional service and commitment to the organization—to Fran and Executive Board Member Douglas Maine. Their leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication have helped strengthen the Playhouse and further its mission as a cornerstone of arts and culture in the community.
The Spring Benefit brought together a packed room of supporters, including notable figures from the entertainment world, longtime patrons, donors, and community members who share a passion for preserving and advancing the arts. The energy throughout the evening reflected the enduring impact of the Bedford Playhouse as both a cultural destination and a gathering place for meaningful connection.
Proceeds from the event support the Playhouse’s diverse programming initiatives, educational offerings, special events, and community outreach efforts throughout the year.
