June 6th, 2026 – Animal lovers gathered at Bedford Playhouse on Saturday for a special pet adoption pop-up presented in partnership with Sidewalk Angels Foundation and Paws Crossed Animal Rescue as part of the Bedford Village Sidewalk Sale.

The event welcomed visitors of all ages for an afternoon celebrating rescue animals, community involvement, and the organizations working to create brighter futures for animals in need. Outside the Playhouse, guests had the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs from Paws Crossed, speak with rescue staff and volunteers, and learn more about the adoption process and the lifesaving work being done throughout Westchester County.

The event also highlighted the longstanding relationship between Sidewalk Angels Foundation and Paws Crossed. Founded by Rob and Marisol Thomas, Sidewalk Angels Foundation supports animal rescue, welfare, and advocacy initiatives across the country, helping provide shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, and protection for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. The Foundation has supported Paws Crossed since before the organization’s opening, helping strengthen its ability to care for and rehome thousands of animals over the years.

Following the adoption event, guests headed inside for a screening of The Secret Life of Pets, introduced by Rob and Marisol Thomas. Before the film, the couple shared remarks about the importance of animal rescue and the impact that local organizations like Paws Crossed have on both animals and the communities they serve.

The afternoon served as a celebration of compassion and collaboration, showcasing how partnerships between nonprofit organizations, community members, and local institutions can make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable animals.

Bedford Playhouse was proud to host this special event and help spotlight the ongoing work of Sidewalk Angels Foundation and Paws Crossed as they continue their shared mission of giving animals the care, support, and second chances they deserve.
